History of Painted Fish Barn
Painted Fish Barn & Estate sits on 23.5 acres of field and forest with 1100 feet of shorefront on Pemaquid Harbor. Prior to becoming a wedding venue, the property had multiple lives. Built in 1980, it served as the home of a surgeon and his family. The home was then sold to the owner of an art museum who turned it into an artist residency program location. Artists from around the world would visit and paint. Current owners, Tyler and Shauna, purchased the home in 2022 and found hundreds of paintings left behind by visiting artists. Many of them hang inside the house today.
Our wedding at was nothing short of magical. The venue is an absolute gem, with breathtaking scenery that provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. From the moment we set foot on the property, we knew we had found something extraordinary.
