May 29-31, 2026

As late spring settles in, expect cool to mild mornings and comfortably warmer afternoons in Bristol. Wildflowers will be spectacular and foliage will be fresh and lush, mostly green with full leaf out well underway.

  • Average high temperature: ~ 59-60°F (~ 15-16°C) 
  • Average low temperature: ~ 45-46°F (~ 7-8°C) 
  • Foliage: Fully green canopy; trees have largely leafed out, early wildflowers and garden blooms visible

September 4-6, 2026

As summer gives way to early fall in Bristol, expect crisp mornings and comfortably warm afternoons in the high 60s and early 70s. Yellow wildflowers will be spectacular and hydrangeas will be in bloom.  

  • Average high temperature: ~ 67-70°F (~ 19-21°C) 
  • Average low temperature: ~ 53-55°F (~ 12-13°C)
  • Foliage: Very early in the foliage season; mostly green throughout the region with only isolated early signs of color

September 18-20, 2026

As of mid-to-late September, mornings are generally in the low to mid-50s °F and afternoons in the upper 60s or low 70s. There’s a lower chance of rain, typical for September, and foliage is just beginning to show very early signs of color with most leaves still green.

  • Average high temperature: ~ 66-68°F (~ 19-20°C) 
  • Average low temperature: ~ 52-55°F (~ 11-13°C) 
  • Foliage: Little change yet — mostly green with isolated patches of yellow or red starting in higher or more exposed areas

September 25-27, 2026

By late September, mornings are cool (low to mid-50s °F) and afternoons are milder, usually in the low to mid-60s. Rain chance is modest and increasing compared to early September, and foliage is entering the early color transition. Great wedding weather!

  • Average high temperature: ~ 61-64°F (~ 16-18°C) 
  • Average low temperature: ~ 48-50°F (~ 9-10°C) 
  • Foliage: Early stages of autumn color are becoming visible; most trees still green but patches of yellow, orange, or red begin to appear

October 2-4, 2026

As early October arrives in Bristol, afternoons are mild while evenings cool. This is the start of Maine’s stunning fall foliage season — coastal aras remain mostly green but are accented with bright splashes of fall colors, creating a beautiful backdrop for a celebration.

  • Average high temperature: ~ 60-62°F (~ 16-17°C)
  • Average low temperature: ~ 45-47°F (~ 7-8°C)
  • Foliage: Early to mid-transition; colorful leaves beginning to spread across the region, offering quintessential autumn scenery

October 9-11, 2026

As mid-autumn arrives, days are typically crisp and mornings chilly. It’s an ideal time for weddings in Maine. The air has a clean, refreshing edge and the foliage is unfolding into the rich colors we all love!

  • Average low temp: ~ 45-47 °F (~ 7-8 °C)
  • Foliage: Well into its color transition stage; many trees inland showing vibrant autumn hues, coastal areas catching up, creating beautiful contrasts between greenery and fall tones.
